"Struck"

 This piece was fashioned in the shape of a lightning bolt.
​Constructed from a single piece of mahogany, the initial forms were carved out with a ban saw and rasps.​ Secondary forms were shaped solely by hand with rasps and files. ​The piece was finished with stain.
